I am also resraching my ancestors who came from Cookstown and was there in May of this year.
There was an forces base in Cookstown in th 1940's as one of my realtives married on e of the forces personnel.

I bought a booklet there called the Mid Ulster History Journal.
It appears to have been published by Gortreagh printing Cookstown.There are some good photos
