Grover E. Nix

Grover E. "Gus" Nix, 72, of Bainbridge, Ga., died Sunday.

The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge
(912-246-3232), with burial at Calvary Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A native of Seminole County, Ga., and former resident of Tavares, he had
lived in Bainbridge since 1991. He was a Marine veteran of World War II
and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4904, American Legion Post
62, Order of the Eastern Star No. 62, and Tavares Lodge No. 234, F&AM. He
was a plant maintenance worker for Minute Maid Inc., Coca-Cola Food
Division and a member of First Baptist Church in Bainbridge.

He is survived by a daughter, Verna Nix of Blountstown; three sisters, Edna
N. Martin and Elsie N. Elkins, both of Bainbridge, and Dorothy N. Fleming
of Attapulgus, Ga.; and a grandchild.
