===========
I wasn't able to find a Anna Niedermier who emigrated into NYC in 1878.
What doesn't make sense is that Anna Niedermier was born in1872 in NJ
(1900 census), but she was Anna's daughter. This indicates that the
emigration was before 1872. You can get the naturalization records.
Usually naturalization is 5 years after emigration. Trouble is, you
don't know Anna's maiden name - if she married here, she could be any Anna.
Francis was married at age 17 or about 1903. So, you may find the
marriage record.
==============here's a SS record that you should order.
Frances Vanhise

13 Mar 1881 Jul 1974 Trenton, Mercer, New Jersey New Jersey (Before
1951 ) 141-18-2141

If this shows that this Frances VanHise had a NIEDERMIER maiden name,
then you can order the birth record from NJ archives.
