Hi,

For those researching folks with out much a clue where they might be.
Try the Charles Gardner collection it is on microfilm in Salt Lake
City at the FHL. This is I have been told is also at Rutgers and at
the NJ Historical Society. There are three different sets of it and
it is amazing what he has put together. A lot of it seems to
duplicate between the sets but not totally. As to how good it is, is
yet to be seen. I didn't find my brick wall but you might. Most of
what he has looks to be the northeast corner of NJ.

I am chasing PERSON/PERSONG & FREEMAN folks in Sussex County,
Knowlton, Knowlton Twp. NJ which is now Warren County. Is there
anyone working on these names? Does any one have any suggestions on
things to look at for this area? I live in Oregon.

Matthias PERSON (PERSONG in German per the land records) married
Hester FREEMAN 27 Dec 1803 in Knowlton. That is all I know at this
time about these two in NJ. I have found some clues to a possible
connection to Catherine & John PERSON buried in the Knowlton cemetery
through land records. Right now I am waiting for the films to get
here for the one deed that I missed seeing in Salt Lake in Nov.
Matthias is mixed up with some land dealings with a Catherine
PERSON(G) abd a Henry FREEMAN so the plot thickens.

Janice
