Dear Everyone,

I really opened a "kettle of fish" asking about favorite amusment parks
didn't I ?since we were in Cape May for our granddaughter's 3rd. birthday
all weekend,I am just catching up on all the postings! :-)
Jack's favorite was Riverview beach,in our neck of the woods.I loved to ride
the old Wilson Line boat from Philly to Riverview...thought it seemed as if
it were an ocean cruise, instead of tooling down the ole Delaware.

My next question is what were/are your favorite swimming holes...the ocean
does not count ?My favorite was Kresson Lake in what is the Kresson section
of Voorhees Township. It was [the operative word is "was",it is no longer
there] at the corner of Kresson Road and Route 73.The Dwyer family ran
it.Everyday...at least everyday it wasn't pouring rain,my Mom would pile all
of us into her old Plymouth and we were headed for "THE LAKE".We headed home
about 4 ,stopped at all the roadstands on the way home and by the time we
got back to Collingswood, the corn was husked, the peas were shelled, and the
strawberries were hulled. After quick baths, dinner was all but
cooked. Then, nursing our sunburn, and skeeter bites,we breezed down again the
next day to do it all over again.Summers seemed endless and magical then.

Jerilyn your South Jersey nostalgic one!
