Hi
I am new to this list and new to exploring USA sites, and would like some
help or pointers as to where to go to try and locate my FAULLs and FLOYDs in
NJ. I have not found them on passenger lists (yet) but members of the family
obviously travelled back and forth to UK/USA. Could SKS give me an idea of
which ports they would have entered the USA at?
Alfred FAULL snr owned some sort of a car shop, is there a business
directory for the early 1900s which might show this?
Are there any on-line census's which I could investigate?

4) Alfred FAULL bn 1863 at Farm Hott, Kea Cornwall UK .1881 census shows him
as a House Carpenter at the age of 17 yrs still living in Kea. Married
approx Feb 1882 to Annie Susan MAY bn 1866 Camborne. Cornwall UK
Alfred emigrated to USA and became a US citizen 18/01/1899,
Alfred owned a car shop in the USA - (NJ?). Died 1931 Jersey City USA
5) May Kessell FAULL bn Feb 1883 Redruth Cornwall UK went to USA end
of 19th C
5) Violet FAULL bn Cornwall UK - went to USA end of 19th C
5) Hilda FAULL bn Cornwall UK - went to USA end of 19th C
5) Gladys FAULL bn USA
5) Arthur Groves FAULL bn 19/12/1890 Truro. Cornwall UK
Went to USA at end of 19th C, returned to UK, married 17 Jun23 Edith
Annie MUNRO
(bn 11/02/1896 Southampton [2c 43]). Went to USA in 1923 on Ormarick
ship from Southampton.
Died Jan 1933 in Jersey City USA. Served in WW1 4 Battallion Aero
Squadron (chaufs).
Arthur, Alfred & Edith returned to UK on Majestic II ship (White Star &
Cunard line) in 1933.
Edith died Oct 1974 Ringwood, Hampshire UK
6) Arthur Munro FAULL bn 23/02/1924 Long Branch NJ, USA.
In 1933 lived in Ringwood Hampshire UK. In 1935 lived in Ely
Place Guildford, Surrey. UK
Lodged with Edith FAULL at Ely Place for a short while. Did
National Service in US Army, joined in UK,
served in Paris 1946 - 1949. Married 25/02/1950 Mary SHERIFF in St
Pauls Church, Salisbury, Wiltshire.UK
7) 3 children and 4 grandchildren born in the UK
6) Alfred Sydney FAULL bn 24/06/1927 East Keansburg NJ, USA.
In 1933 lived in Ringwood. In 1935 lived in Ely Place Guildford,
Surrey.
Did National Service in US Army, joined in UK, served in Paris,
1946 - 1949.
Died 11/06/1996 Edison NJ, USA.
Married 22/4/1951 Nancy PEACOCK Surrey.UK Moved to USA for 2 yrs
with son in early 1950s.
7) 1 son, 3 grandchildren and one great-grandchild born in
the UK

) Elizabeth Jane FAULL bn 1844 Truro Cornwall UK married Aug 1865 to Joseph
FLOYD bn 16 Dec 1838 Truro (possibly a miner)
Elizabeth and Joseph emigrated to Australia before 1869 and returned to UK
after 1871 census but before 1881 census. In 1881 census Elizabeth and
William Henry are living at Trevenson Street, Camborne UK. Elizabeth is
shown as age 34 and a Housekeeper. In her mothers (Jane FAULL) Will dated
1895, Elizabeth is shown as living in the USA no other details known
5) William Henry FLOYD bn 1869 Adelaide Australia. Grocers boy in 1881
in Camborne.Cornwall UK
(Not sure if he went to USA with his parents or not)

Any help or pointers appreciated.
