1725 Sept. 20. Ladd, Samuel, of Gloucester Co., yeoman. Bond of
Mary, widow of, as administratrix of the estate of her late husband. Jacob
Medcalf fellow bondsman.
1729 Sept. 20. Inventory of the personal estate, 120.5.6; made by
George Ward. Lib. 2, p. 316.
1727 April . Account of the estate by Mary Ladd, the adminstratrix,
who has paid debts to Doctor Graham, Sarah Bull, David Truman, Abraham
Vining, William Lingard, Philipp Gohomex (?), Sam- [page 278] uel Hopper,
Mary Peres, Swain Warner, Benj. Wait, John Brown, John Hudson, Sarah Redman,
Sarah Richardson.
1735-6 Feb. 10. Another account of the estate by Mary, the widow of
Samuel Ladd and now the wife of Tobias Holloway, showing principally payment
to the Commissioners of the Loan Office for Gloucester Co.

1730, 11 mo. (Feb.), 4 da. Ladd, John, of Deptford, Gloucester Co.,
yeoman; will of. Wife, Elizabeth, to have 300 acres in Greenwich Township,
near Stephen Jones. Sons Eldest, Samuel, deceased (had children),
Jonathan, deceased (had children), and John, youngest, to have the home land
(500 acres), Proprietary Rights to take up land in Burlington and town of
Gloucester, and all other lands. Granddaughter Mary Parker, 875 acres
near Neshaning Creek in Amwell Township, Hunterdon Co. In case of her death
without issue, same shall be divided equally between my son John and my
daughter, Katherine Ladd, who shall posses the 300 acres called Raven Rock
above the falls on or near the Delaware River, in Amwell Township, Hunterdon
Co., together with 506 acres near Mantoes Creek, Deptford Township,
Gloucester Co., and 300 acres near Allmon Creek, Deptford Township.
Executors wife, Elizabeth, and son John Ladd. Witnesses Jacob Usher,
Joseph Drinker, Rowland Rice, Thomas Potter.
1733, June 1. Codicil. Whereas my wife, Elizabeth, is deceased, the
said 300 acres in Greenwich Township shall descend equally6 to my son John
Ladd and to my daughter Katherine Ladd. Witnesses Clement Hall, Malachi
Davis, Rachel Black. Affirmed 20 March, 1739; 10 May, 1740. Lib. 4, p.

money (22.13.1 ), carpenters tools, corn in ground, oxen, 13 cows, 5
calves, etc. Appraisers Samuel Lippincott, Joshua Lord.
1731, 2nd mo. (Apr.), 5th da. Ladd, Jonathan, of Deptford Township,
Gloucester Co., yeoman; will of. Wife, Ann, sole executrix and to have the
income from personal and real estate until children are of age. Son,
Samuel, to have the plantation. Daughter, Elizabeth, and an unborn child
(if a son to have the plantation in case of Samuels death, without lawful
issue). If all children die without issue under age, then my cousin, Joseph
Ladd, second son of my deceased brother Samuel Lad, to have the aforesaid
plantation, he to pay 30 to his three sisters, Sarah, Debrough and Kathron.
Legacy to Sarah Lad, cousin. Supervisors my brother-in-law, Samuel
Lippincott, and John Wood. Witnesses William Vaughn, Thomas Potter, Josa.

1737, March 30. Ladd, Joseph, of Gloucester Co., ward, petition of.
Gloucester Wills, 434 H.
1735, March 9. Ladd, Mathew, of Deptford Township, Gloucester Co.,
cordwainer; will of. Brother, Joseph (when 21) my plantation on Timber
Creek and all my lands. Sisters Deborah and Katherine Ladd (both under
21). Executors esteemed friends and uncles, John Ladd and Samuel Parker.
Witnesses William Shute, Mary Grifits, Saml. Sharp. Affirmed 9 March,
1736.
1736, March 9. Letters Testamentary granted to John Ladd in absence
of Joseph Parker, etc. Lib. 4, p. 90.
