We have the Heinrich (Henry) HORNER family of Berks County PA, who
arrived in 1750, on the ship "Osgood." This group was from Dierbach.
Just a suggestion:
Check for HERNER --because the umlaut (that thingy above the 'O')
-makes the word sound more like Hern-er, similar to "Turner."
Also check HOENER just in case. Sometimes the 'r' almost disappears
when the name is pronounced. Names like these were often hard for
English-speaking clerks to spell.
