Where should I look for history of these Terhune families?
I have Descendants of Albert Albertse Terhune by Ackerman, 1946
and have been told it has errors.

Aaron Courter b 1776 Mochopin (Macopin) m Sophia Ackerman
real estate transactions with Albert and Ann Terhune 14 May 1813
and 18 May 1815. Mentioned in deeds: Pompton, Road leading from
Albert Terhune to Long Pond (Greenwood Lake), land formerly
belonging to Peter Fisher, witnesses Thomas Allen and Theunis
Ryerson.

William Folly b 1740 d 1832 m Anna, Franklin Township, Bergen
County
1780 neighbors, Albert, Henry and Leah Terhune,
1832 will names as executors
Abraham Folly, son,
Peter I. or J. Terhune, no relationship,
Garret VanDean, no relationship.
Who was this Peter Terhune?

Abraham J. Terhune b abt 1823 m Christian Courter d/o William
Courter and daughter of Aaron Courter above.

Have no further information.
