Cornelius Van Vorst of the Township of Bergen, conveyed to Anthony Dey
of the City of New York, for $6,000 annually paid on or before 1 April
next, that tract of land in the Township of Bergen commonly called
Powles Hook, with Right of Ferry. Mentioned: ditch dug by Major Hunt.
Bounded E by the North or Hudson River; S by Bay or Flatts of said
River; N by a Bay Called Horsimus Bay; W by a creek or ditch. Subject to
lease of said premises by said Cornelius Van Vorst to David Hunt which
will expire 1 May 1805, when possession of premises to be delivered to

the house of Stephen Vreeland; flag staff on Ellis’ Island; steeple of
Bergen Church. Bounded E by Hudson River; N by said River or the Bay
commonly called Horsimus Bay; S by said river and the Bay commonly

of Franklin: (1) 15-80/100 acres beginning NE corner of land of John
Ryerson near E side of a brook; mentioned: lands of John Ackerman;
Thomas Ackerson. (2) 4-20/100 acres beginning N side of land of Elyas
Folly; mentioned: land of Henry Carlogh; Publick Road. Signed by Abraham

piece of Salt Meadow to satisfy debts, conveyed to Cornelius Smith of
Secaucus, for $1,078.87, 137 acres more or less bounded N by Snake Hill;
NE by a ditch; E by Fish Creek; S and SE by Hackensack River. Signed by

George Van Giezen and Daniel Van Giezen of the County of Bergen,
conveyed to Peter D. Demarest of the English Neighborhood, for $6,000, a
messuage and tract of 124 acres, 1 rod, 16 perches, more or less, in New
Barbadoes, beginning in the fresh meadow in corner of land of Lawrence
Ackerman; mentiond is land of Daniel Romine. Signed by George Van

Theunis Ryerson of Bergen County, conveyed to John Beam of Pompton
Township, for $100.20, a 50-4/100 acre, strict measure, plot of land in
the Township of Pompton, where a small brook that leads from Beams High
Mountain and empties into a Brook called Deep Brook, also being the 4th
of a Lot belonging to Peter Slott recorded Book S14, p. 168 at Perth
