I am researching the Van Giesen family, who I believe
lived in the Paterson area from the mid to late
1600's. I have documentation on various family members
but want to be able to definitely tie them in instead
of just "maybe".

The furthest back I can definitely put my finger on
is:


Uriah Van Giesen, b. May 1833, Paterson, NJ
son of Cornelis Van Giesen and Rachel Snyder.
He d. Feb 1894 in Savannah, Ga. He was a
Confederate Army veteran.

Married to Euphemia Theresa Holtzendorf in Nov 1858.
She was b. Nov 1831 in Camden Co., Ga.
She d. Dec. 1884 in Savannah, Ga.

Is there anyone out there who has anything definite on
this family?
