I thought Cornelius Kent married Sarah Peterson....perhaps he was a son of your
Cornelius Kent and Maria Stagg. The Tax Lists for those years give the amount
of improved acreage, unimproved acreage, oxen, horned cattle, horses, single
men, househoulders (meaning that the person lived in a house on someone elses
property) I do not recall if Slaves were taxed....then the Road Tax, and other
taxes. It does not give any ages or number of people in the family. Good
