"Johannes SPIER married Maritje FRANSE from Beest in Gelderland on 12
August 1679 at Bergen, The banns was announced on 27 July 1679. She
was the daughter of Frans JACOBSON and Geertie GERRITS. She came with
her parents on DE BEAVER leaving Amsterdam, Holland, 9 May 1661 and
arriving in New Amsterdam on 29 July 1661. (Riker, J. "Revised History
of Harlem, P. 971)
