Subject: [NJBERGEN] Westervelt Family-Please Help!

I have been working on my Westervelt line for years now, without any luck. Perhaps someone would be so kind as to see if they have any information about these people.
James J. Westervelt, b. 11/20/1838 in Hackensack
brothers: Benjamin J., b. 5/17/1830 in Hackensack
John
Peter, born about 1822
sister: Letty or Lettie
Parents: John or James Westervelt, and his wife Rachel
About 1848, the father John or James died. The mother, Rachel removed the family to New York City, where some of them became carpenters. In 1853, Benjamin married Mary Haiselden, and in 1857, they went to Buda, IL. The rest of the family followed by 1865. Any help on this family would be greatly appreciated. If I can recall, at one time the family was Methodist in the Hackensack or Schralenburgh area. THANKS
