Here's a possible connection (according to my data)

I think Saartje's (who m. Abram Rutan) maiden name was Van Gelder,
and I suspect she was the daughter of Jacobus Van Gelder and his
second wife, Susanna DeVouw (Susanna was widow of Thomas Bricker).

Jacobus Van Gelder & (2) Susanna DeVouw had daughters --

--Marytje/Maria Van Gelder, bp. 21 Sep 1707 Hackensack Ref Ch; prob
m. 26 Jan 1728 Haclensack Ref Ch,, as his second wife, William
Albertse Van Voorhees, widower of Susanna LaRoe

and

--Sara/Saarthe Van Gelder, bp. 24 May 1710 Hackensack Ref Ch; m.
(prob) 22 Feb 1734 Acquackanonk Ref Ch, Abraham Rutan

Elena Van Voorhees, who m. Arye Courter, was the daughter of William
Albertse Van Voorhees and his first wife, Susanna LaRoe.

Does this help?
