Hi, Listers--
I am the one who posted part of the index of the
Biographical and Genealogical History of Newark and
Essex County yesterday. I typed in the A-C last names
from volume 1, and have already received requests from
about 15 people for information. I am happy to
provide it, but will need to make photocopies from the
microfilm and send them (via snail-mail) to the
various people who asked. That may take a while,
especially once I post the rest of the names in the
index.

I only have the microfilms here (on Interlibrary Loan)
for about another three weeks. So my request to those
who wanted information is twofold:

First, nobody sent me snail-mail addresses--and I will
need these in order to send information (photocopying
it and scanning probably won't work well--the
microfilm isn't all that clear to begin with).

Second, if you're not relatively certain that a
particular person "belongs" to you, please consider
holding off on your request or providing me with a few
details to verify before I go to the trouble (and
expense) of copying and mailing.

That said, if the people who asked for copies could
please send me mailing addresses (and repeat the name
they are looking for, too, if possible), that would be
most helpful. I will do what I can to get those
mailed out to you soon.
