In my family, I have been unable to locate any records of my ancestors born
in Downstown GLOUCESTER Co. Its strange. Has anyone else had that problem?
Mostly birth records. I find the info on them, like marriage records and
such.... which tell me they were born in Downstown with the dates and
years...... but when I search for them in Trenton, they are not there. Does
anyone know why that is? I think I will write to someplace in either
Franklin TWP where Downstown is located or to Downstown itself to find a city
archives. Does anyone know of one?

I figure, what may have happened is because Downstown is so small they never
sent in the info to the state level. OR, the info was lost or something. Or,
they just didn't bother..... The State Archives is a great place, but
sometimes the info is not always included for whatever reason.

If anyone can help solve the Downstown Mystery, please email me or the list.
