Hello Joan:
I noticed on your surnames that you are researching.
I am a Brooks, my Dad's family hail from Ohio but come from areas around
NJ, WV, PA, DE, and VA.
I have also Gandee/Gander/Gandy line in this side.
I have a Hans Jacob Gander having son named Johan George Gander, 1730-?
Johan had son named Uriah Gandy Sr., 1751-1836, who married a Susanna ?.
They had a son named Uriah Gandee Jr. 1782-1855, he married a Mercy
Massie Hughes 1784-?.
They had a son named Samuel Gandee 1824-1908, he married a Mercy Raines
1824-?.
They had 2 children Sam and James William Gandee. James is my Great
Great Grandfather on my Dad's side, he married a Mary Ann Schaeffer
1850-?.
It would be nice if you could connect to this line.
