Hello All -
New to this NJ list, but might be recognized by some from the Ocean,
Mon. and Burl. Co. lists. If I don't soon find my ancestor, I'll be
subbed to all NJ lists!! :)
Here's my problem -- my proven Charles E. Cox, b. c 1820, Barnegat, NJ,
is shown with two different sets of parents on two different info
sources. Jonathan Cox is father on burial info while Sylvanus Cox is
father on death info.
I've decided to see if I can track down the real father thru a
"possible" sister to Charles. There's info that says a Sylvanus Cox, of
Barnegat, might've had a daughter named Charlotte. This Charlotte
married John A Wilson, in Gloucester Co., in 1831. I've tracked what I
believe to be her and family up to 1900.
The reason I suspect this Charlotte to be linked somehow to my Charles
is that my grandmother is named Charlotte Wilson Fox. Her lineage goes
like this --
Charlotte
Hannah A. Cox Fox
Charles E. Cox
Charles E. Cox -- (the one with two sets of parents)
And, if Sylvanus fits here -- my Charlotte could be named after a gr.
gr. aunt.
So, anyway, now that I've spun on so -- can anyone point me to any other
info on John A Bishop and/or Charlotte Cox. And for those of you who've
suffered thru all this from the other lists, sorry! :)
Thanks everyone - Terri in rainy, grey WA.
