I am having trouble with a great grandfather I hope one of you will recognize:

Caleb HOWELL (born NY or NJ about 1780; died between 1860 and 1870 in Oakland
Co., Michigan) married Sally __?__ (born NJ about 1784; died 15 Jan 1853 in
Geauga Co., OH). Their children were:

i. Abram L. HOWELL (born NY in 1816; died 1897 in Oakland Co., MI) who
married Sally DOWNING 1841 in Ashtabula Co., OH
ii. Catharina HOWELL (born NY in 1818)
iii. Nicholas HOWELL (born NY in 1821)

Who were Caleb's parents?
