Just returned from Bayonne. I used the report from
the Hudson County Surrogates Office(from 1923) as
a starting point.
Point of reference for anyone doing research invol-
ving NEW YORK BAY CEMETERY; you must know the DATE
of death OR the INTERNMENT date for them to do a
lookup.....they were wonderful to me...even drew
me a map to locate my Ggrandfather's grave. Plus,
I found out there were 3 more ECKERTs in an adjoining grave.
Across the street (Garfield Ave.) is BAYVIEW CEMETERY.
Bayview will do a lookup by NAME..no date needed.
