Would anyone out there know the answer to a location query of mine. My
grandmother Mary HANLEY emmigrated from Ireland in 1874. Since she was married
within the year to James McNULTY of Jersey City I am assuming that she either
knew his family before she came or met him shortly thereafter. Does anyone
know if most of the Jersey City Irish of that time period came into the Port
of Hoboken or into Brooklyn or where they would most likely have come into?
James MCNULTY also owned a cigar store in JC. Would there be some sort of
business license or other paperwork that I might find?
Thank You,
Marcy Byrd
