Jersey City as a town might be trying to turn itself around but I am still
having problems in trying to obtain records from the courthouse. I have
tried (and it will be a year in Sept.) to obtain the naturalization records
for my husband's grandparents. They sent me the wrong records (for someone
whose name does not resemble the name at all!). They then called and said
that they had additional records for my husband's grandmother and to send an
additional four dollars. This was five months ago and I am still waiting!
On the other hand, I was able to obtain my grandparents' naturalization
papers in about four months in Passaic Co. Very Frustrating to say the least!
