Jersey City Cemetery and Harcimus are one in the same, official name is
Jersey City Harcimus Cemetery. Was once told by the caretaker, a very old
and dear friend, that it was originally an Indian Burial Ground, hence the
name Harcimus from the tribe that inhabited that area. Quite a small
cemetery directly across from the old cannon mount at Dickinson High School.
Record system was all done by ledger. Hope this helps.
