Subject: [NJHUDSON-L] First Baptist Church, West Hoboken

The book "History of West Hoboken, NJ 1609-1903"
mentions the First Baptsit Church at Clinton Avenue
and Serrell Street. This church was organized in 1854 -
the book contains a picture of it.

West Hoboken is, of course, now Union City.

On a visit I found the church was not longer there -
the streets have been renamed. The church was
probably demolished to make room for
Washington Park.

Does anyone know the history of the church?
