Hi, Victoria,
I too hit a brick wall a few years ago. My grandparents lived in Bayonne,
but I had no idea when they died. I found a book on researching in New
Jersey, and found out where to write for wills--the Surrogate's Court in
Jersey City. You can probably get this address on the internet now. My
grandparents didn't leave wills, but there were Letters of Administration
on file, and I got a wealth of information, including dates and names of
heirs.
