FYI...

The Surrogate court informed me that they charge $3.00 PER PAGE FOUND
(pretty steep). They found a total of 11 pages for my grandparents, so I
owed them a little more than the $10.00 I originally sent for two searches.

On the bright side, their response time was only 4 business days. Now I
just have to see if the papers are worth the extra $$$.

Hudson County Court House
595 Newark Ave.
Jersey City, NJ 07306

They charge $3 per name looked up. I usually send $5 to cover the
copying etc.
Send MONEY ORDER ONLY!! Made out to Surrogate of Hudson County.
Give them all the data you can:
approx date of death
dob
last known residence
next of kin
They are pretty good in response time too.
