Would these libraries take a box of keepsakes? Did you ever ask? I would
give the Patey family to Jersey City and the Vreeland family to Bayonne, if
I knew they would accept it.
Wouldn't it be great if each town or the county, had a "clearing house" type
of place/building where these things could go to. That way, whoever in the
future would like to go on with the family research, they could see what
went on before.
