Just a reminder to the folks on the NJHudson list that the primary
purpose of the list is to discuss topics directly related to Hudson Co.,
NJ as they relate to genealogy and research. This is not to say other,
related topics cannot be discussed here, but since there are other
specifically focused lists, those discussions should be directed there.
As one of our subscribers stated in a recent email,

"If you want discussion of the pros and cons of genealogy software, there
are appropriate mailing lists to which you can subscribe (for example,
GENSOFT and the Genealogy Software>General message board)."


I heartily agree with him and politely suggest that we stay "on topic"
as much as possible to keep this list's members involved in what they
subscribed for, i.e., discussion about genealogical research involving
Hudson Co.

Some of you may be interested in the NJ-Memories-L list. This list was
specifically created to provide a forum for non-genealogical related
reminiscing about our beloved state of New Jersey, thus, removing these
non-genealogical discussions from the NJHudson-L list..

As always, your comments and flames are encouraged and welcome. But
please direct them to me personally, not to the list.
