That was a very unkind thing to say. State employees are for the most
part overworked and underpaid - and "get no respect" even though most
deserve it.
I for one really appreciate the effort and time many of them have put in
to filling our requests.
Just think, I ordered a death certificate from California and they
informed me it would take eleven months (I received it in five).
Or it could be Arizona which is a closed records state - this means
that vital records are not public records.
