I am trying to confirm my ggg-grandmother's birth info and parents.

I believe Deborah Burdge was born in Monmouth Co., NJ, possibly, Howell Twp., January 26, 1805. A copy of the Family Register of her husband, Elihu S. Welles, states that his was was born January 26, 1805. The 1850 Census shows Elihu and Deborah Welles living in Wayne, NY and her place of birth is listed as NJ.

Her headstone in the Welles Cemetery, Wayne, NY, as transcribed by the Painted Hills Genealogy Society, shows a birth year of 1804. Could be that she was born late in 1804 and baptized on January 26, 1805?

I believe her parents were Jonathan and Deborah Dickinson Burdge. I believe they are buried with Deborah and Elihu in the Welles Cemetery. Headstones read Deborah Burdge, born ?, died 1855; and Jonathan Burdge, born 1772, died 1855.

Does anyone have any info on these folks or any ideas how to research? I know that New Jersey did not keep official records at that time and so probably need church records, etc.
