Ted,
Without any additional info I can't be certain, but from my indexing of the
census, I found a total of two Tunis Pattersons in all of Monmouth.
The most likely is probably
*** 1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Tunis Patterson 37 M W Farmer NJ
***
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Mary Patterson 36 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Hannah Patterson 14 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Alice Patterson 12 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Sarah Morris 83 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Mary J. Patterson 10 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Rebecca Patterson 6 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Lydia C. Patterson 4 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 George Patterson 2 M W NJ
1850 Monmouth Raritan 169 178 Sally Nowlin 18 F W NJ
The other is
1850 Monmouth Howell 225 225 Gordon Patterson 33 M W Carpenter 600 NJ
1850 Monmouth Howell 225 225 Sarah Patterson 26 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Howell 225 225 Mary Patterson 7 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Howell 225 225 William Patterson 6 M W NJ
*** 1850 Monmouth Howell 225 225 Tunis Patterson 6 M W NJ ***
1850 Monmouth Howell 225 225 Elizabeth Patterson 4 F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Howell 225 225 Ann Patterson 5 mos F W NJ
1850 Monmouth Howell 225 225 Mulford Howland 12 M W NJ
(I have not verified the accuracy of this information, I just copied it from
my indexing. So some info may be slightly off.)
I hope one of these is yours.
