Samuel C. Kinney was born in Warren county, NJ (I have birthdate as
14 Dec 1870?) the son of William S. and Amelia (Warner) Kinney.
Samuel and family lived in Wantage, Sussex co, NJ for the 1900
census and in Sussex boro in 1910. Samuel was a farmer,
Samuel's brother William H. (born Oct 1874) is living with
Samuel's family in Wantage in 1900 (sheet#250B). Samuel
is still living in Wantage in his sister's 1911 obit. Samuel is in
Ellenville, NY in wife's 1926 obit.
Samuel's obit - Samuel C. Kinney, 79, of 99 Madison St. died at
Newton Memorial Hospital on 11 Aug 1949. He is survived by wife
Rose, daughter Mrs Mary McDonald of Allentown, PA, a
granddaughter and several brothers and sisters - NJ Herald
Jennie N. Chandler was born 7 Aug 1874, d. 10 Jan 1926 Vernon,
Sussex co, NJ, dau. of Samuel & Hattie (Brown) Chandler.
Jennie's obit dated 15 Jan 1926 states she was stricken with
paralysis in Sussex and taken to the home of Benjamin Parks,
near Bissett's Bridge in Vernon township where she died on
10 Jan 1926. She was the daughter of Samuel and Hattie (Brown)
Chanler (sic?) aged 51 years, 5 months and 3 days. She is
survived by her mother, Mrs. Hattie Fuller of Stroudsburg, PA,
two sisters - Mary Maxwell of Stroudsburg, PA and Mrs Edith
Johnson of Wantage; a granddaughter Jean E. MacDanold of
Allentown, PA. Mrs. Kinney's husband, Samuel C. Kinney, lives
in Ellenville, NY. Burial at FairView Cemetery, Wantage, NJ.
Samuel's father - William Kinney born 20 Jul 1847 Washington,
Warren co, NJ, died 9 Dec 1924, son of Jacob C. Kinney,
a shoemaker, and Rebecca (Snyder). William's family is living in
Wantage, Sussex co, NJ by 1885 census, he is working as a
teamster in Newton in 1910.
Samuel's mother - Amelia Warner born 10 Jun 1852 PA,
d. 8 Jan 1925 in Newton aged 72 years, 6 months, 29 days,
daughter of Benjamin and Sophia (Criss/Kriss) Warner.
They were married about 1870 and had fourteen known children.
