>From the SUSSEX REGISTER, Newton, Monday, July 11, 1814:

"Shocking Accident--On the evening of Thursday last, Mary Ann, an infant
child of Mr. Ira Beach, of this town, was burnt to death. During a momentary
absence of her mother, she got from a cradle, in which she had been left
sleeping, and went to a lighted candle, standing on a table in the room, that
communicated fire to her clothes which were entirely consumed before she was
discovered. She died about three hours after."

Hope this helps someone.
