Sept 3, Day, Jacob to Nancy Robertson
Dec. 5, 1829 Day Stephen to Margaret Coss

Book B
Day
9/3/1870 Emma Jane(Ogdensburg) to Mahlon Chamberlain

10/15/1870 James L.(Canistear) to Nary E. Saddock
12/15/1855 Laura to Benjamin Pickel
10/30/1867 Mary F. (Hardyston) to David J. Davenport

Hi Joanne,
Are you sorry you mentioned having the marriage book yet? I do hope all
of us
wanna be genealogy hounds haven't totally swamped you with our requests.
I
tried to get a copy of the book via interlibrary loan up to me here in
Maine,
but it was a no go. My current stone wall is to find the parents of my
gg
grandfather; Clark C. Day.
I DO know that his marriage is supposedly listed in Marriage Book A on
April
16, 1853 in Sussex Co. NJ. He married Phebe Ann Smith. Would you
possibly
check for the listing and let me know if there is any additional info
there?
By the 1880 census, it shows Clark as head of household in Hardyston
with
Phebe, the kids and a "Susan Smith" that I'm betting is Mother-in-law.
However, Clark is buried in North Church in the name of Jehiel C. Day. I
can
find NO earlier listing for either a Clark C. or Jehiel C. that fits
him.
Very mysterious fellow, my gggrandpa.
Thank you ever so much for any help you can give. If I can return the
favor
for any info local to Southern Maine, just ask!
Heidi
