Sussex Independent, Friday, March 7, 1930

Miss Sarah F. Fountain died at the home of her brother, Jesse Fountain, 9
South Street, Middletown, Thursday night last , after an illness of
pneumonia. She was born, in Hamburg on April 21, 1857, a daughter of
Archibald and Mary Sheppard Fountain. Surviving her are three brothers,
Archibald A. Fountain, of Hamburg; Henry P. Fountain, of Matamoras, Pa.,
and Jesse Fountain, of Middletown, and a sister, Miss Mary Fountain, of
Middletown. Funeral services were conducted in the Hasbrouck Funeral Home,
Middletown, at 2:30 Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Forest P. Hunter, of the
First Baptist Church. Interment was in the family plot in Papakating
Cemetery, near Sussex.
