Sussex Independent, Friday, March 7, 1930

Marcus Laforge, who was born near Beemerville seventy-six years ago, died
February 8 at his home, 49 Courtland street, Bridgeport, Conn. In early life
he went to Bridgeport and engaged in the contracting and building business
from which he retired a few years ago. Funeral services were held at his
home February 11. The surviving relatives are his widow, Emma Curtis
Laforge; two daughters, Misses Ethel M. and Maude E., and two sons, Dr. Fred
B. Laforge, first assistant pharmacist in US chemical laboratory,
Washington, D.C., and Marcus E. Laforge, of Bridgeport. In the summer of
1929 Mr. and Mrs. Laforge celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
