Hello all,
I figured I would try the list one more time before giving up hope. I am
searching for any and all information on John W. Johnson born about April
1873, and died between August 1901 and end of 1903, I believe in New Jersey.
We did find a John w. Johnson on the 1880 census about the right age (8)
living in Charlottesburg, Passaic County with a William (father) and
Margaret (mother) and a Brother Abrham(22) and sister Anna(11). We are not
sure if this is the correct one. We do know for a fact that John and his wife
Martha lived in Port Oram, Randolph township (now Wharton) NJ in 1900. On his
sons Birth Certificate hit states John W. Johnson was born in Stanhope, NJ.
I am not sure how accret this is to do I have found places of birth to be
wrong with other relatives Almost all the Relatives I have found are buried
in Stanhope Union Cemetery, Including his children. John W. Johnson is my
Great Great Grandfather, He married Martha Spencer, daughter of Charles
Spencer and Jane Reid (also buried in Stanhope Union Cemtery). They had 3
children that we know of Raymond (1900-1924), Charles W. Johnson, My great
grandfather(1898-1962) and Pearl Johnson(1902-1930). Raymond Johnson married
a Bessie last name unknown and had 2 children, who we are trying to locate
info on as well. Charles had Five children with his wife Martha Quackenbush.
Pearl had married aHoward Burton Peer and had 5 children. Her and her
daughter both died from problems with their kidneys we belive this is a
hertitery problem within in the Johnson. After Johns Death Martha remarried a
George Slack and had three more children. There names were George, Jr. ,
Susie, and Bessie Slack. We are trying to locate any info that might help us
find the siblings of John W. Johnson due to my Daughter also has this kidney
problem and we are trying to find a possible match for her. If you know
anything regarding this family please email me back.
Thank you,
Tracy Franz
