Hi - I understand that there is a whole large line of Johnsons in Sussex
County, one of whom married my G-Uncle's daughter. My Great-Uncle was
William H. Hamler (Jr.) b. 1839 in Sussex Co., m. Annie Townsend with whom he
bought real estate in Newton, Sussex Co., NJ and he spent the last years of
his life living with his daughter and her husband (or just her husband) in
Sussex Co. Wm. H. died 11 Nov. 1906.
Wm. H. Hamler's daughter was Ida May Hamler, b. 22 Sep 1872 in Sussex Co.
and she married John Johnson on an unknown date. Wm. H. was buried in his
son-in-law's family plot in Sussex Co.- sorry, I can't remember the name of
the plot at the moment. I will have to look thru my notes.
I hope this helps in some way, even if it's "thru the back door" ...
Kathleen
