for anyone interest in the El Camino Rael de Tierra Adentro National
Historic Trail, here is an article written in the El Defensor Chieftain of
Socorro, printed in their June 13, 2001 as follows:

"El Camino Rael Mtg. June 19 in Socorro

The National Park Service and the Bureau of Land Management will host a
public meeting in Socorro to discuss developing the El Camino Rael de Tierra
Adentro National Historic Trail. The meeting will be held at the Holiday In
Express on June 19 beginning at 6:30 p.m. There will be a total of four
meetings. The first is schedule for June 13 at the Farm and Ranch Heritage
Museum in Las Cruces. The will also be meetings on June 14 at the Chamizal
National Memorial in El Paso and on June 18 at the Truth or Consequences
Civic Center."

if you are interested in the subject and can not attend the meeting, i do
have many copies of the 2 of the brochures about El Camino Rael and sent
them to you if you send me a business size (size 10 = 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 in.)
SASE (self-address-stamped-envelope) with 55¢ stamp affix. one is called
"El Camino Rael, the Royal Road, a Historic Trail" and the other is called
"El Camino Rael International Heritage Center" (which is marked to be built
in Socorro County on BLM land near the San Marcial exit off of I-25). I
will include any new brochures which is given out that the meeting.
