Ruth Louise Rider Steindorf, 80, of Rio Rancho, N.M., formerly of Loveland, died Dec. 12, 2003, in Rio Rancho.
She was born March 16, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio. She married Russell Steindorf. He preceded her in death.
She lived in Medina, Ohio; Loveland and Rio Rancho.
She was a soprano soloist with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Choir in Medina in her younger years. Her love for music followed her throughout her life. She enjoyed nature photography with her husband, had a great appreciation of nature and talent for artistic expression. She enjoyed flower gardening. She was a caring Christian and tireless volunteer with her church, the hospital, the library and the YMCA.
She is survived by two daughters, Marian Bolton and husband David of Placitas, N.M., and Holly Bergstrom of Medina; two sisters, Marguerite Smith of Medina, and Joan Winter of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral Church of St. John in Albuquerque, N.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the YMCA of Albuquerque Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 3308, Albuquerque, N.M. 87190 or to the All Saints Episcopal Church, 3448 N. Taft Ave., Loveland, 80538.
Cremation has taken place.
Inurnment will be with her husband at All Saints Episcopal Church in Loveland.
French Mortuary — Westside Chapel in Albuquerque is in charge of arrangements.
