C.H. "Swede" Engelbert, 98, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, August 30, 2005. He was born Saturday, August 24, 1907 in Conroy, IA to the late Harvey J. and Lina Norland Engelbert. Mr. Engelbert was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Wagner Engelbert. He is survived by daughters, Karen B. Watt of Henderson, NV and Andrea McCarty of Los Angeles, CA; son, Quentin Engelbert of Modesto, CA; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Thor Norland, Jr. and sister, Thelma Melchior, both of Scottsdale, AZ. Mr. Engelbert was a member of the Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church. Services will be held Sunday, September 4, 2005, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 832-9400
