Hello. Can you tell me if you have any information on descendents of McBRIDE
in this part of New Mexico. I have an ancestor, Hugh McBride, who, according
to a Pennsylvania county history, died at Fort Wingate in the New Mexico
Territory in 1882. Census has him at Fort Defiance, age 20, in 1860. The
PA history says that he married and had issue before dying there in his
40's.. I am looking for any sources for history of Army activities in this
area in the late 1800's, or perhaps sources for local vital records for
Army personnel in the (now) McKinley County area. Thanks.
