Hope, NM is about 20 miles west of Artesia. Artesia is mid-way between
Roswell and Carlsbad. Hope, Artesia and Carlsbad are in Eddy County.
Roswell is in Chavez County. Although I don't live in NM anymore, I grew up
in Artesia and keep tab with what is going on at the following websites.
Both have active obituary columns so perhaps you might be able to get
information from them.
