Subject: [NOR-VESTFOLD] An interesting map of Norway/Google toolbar

Here is an interesting map. Vestfold, being so tiny, is not even marked, but
if you click on it on the map, it takes you down to the description of it
below.

I am hunting the clickable, zoomable map that I found so helpful and I
cannot find it, even though I was sure I sent it to the list :-(

A question which I have probably asked before: which port would a young man,
presumably travelling alone, depart from if going to Quebec in 1870. I can
find only two ships from that year and they both sailed out of Telemark.

I downloaded a Google toolbar which provides a little box to put the word/s
you are searching so the you do not have to go to the Google site. Along
with it came a wonderful tool-a highlighter that can be activated to
highlight the word/s you are seeking. For example, I just searched (again)
the two ships I found from 1870 and put Olsen in the Google box. Every Olsen
on the page was highlighted in yellow, making the search very simple.

I shall find that ship if it is the last thing I do! Do any of our newcomers
have a relative named Rudolf Olsen?

Take care...

Kay
