Hi all,

When I recently came across this prayer in a book and as a lot of us are
descendants of Norwegian sailor's I would thought I would pass it on to the
list,

regards Val in Lancashire, England.

The following is based on a german naval song:

The Sailors Prayer

"There are no roses on a sailor's grave,

No lilies on an ocean wave.

The only tribute is the seagulls' sweeps

And a teardrop that a sweetheart weeps."
