Hello Robert, welcome to the Vosselag list.
Vivian woke the list up so some rambling is
most welcomed, if not we have someone to blame!
My grandmother was a Rokne and I'm related to
the coach. I see Jean did some research on your
question and found a connection with the Glimme
line. I have to ask about the Aslak
Brattåker. Is this the Brattåker farm in Voss
or the one in Hol, Buskerud? If it's
Hallingdal roots you might have other
connections to the coach. As far as I know and
Birger Rokne can correct me if he's still on
the Voss list, the coaches direct line took the
Rokne name in 1824 when Knut Larsen bought a
part of Vetla Rokne.
And another welcome from someone with Logan
Square and Humboldt Park roots in Chicago.
Rokne's in both places.
