The only pages I copied were the Naturalization pages and I proceeded to
mark it up so it is very hard to read now. I also lost part of them. It
would be best to check with the county central library to see if there is a
copy someplace closer.

If and when an Archives is established in San Mateo County, it would make a
lot of sense to pull back all the records created by County offices and have
them all available in one place.

I have always envisioned this project as one that would bring in money for
our treasury. We owe it to ourselves to give this first priority and we can
probably do a better research job than someone searching their family,
because we will have good indexes to work from and access to the original
records. If we charge $15.00 or $20.00 plus copy cost and postage for the
info, it will be a bargain. If makes no sense to give any of this away for
free. All we need to put on the web is a list of the indexes that we have
available for searching along with an order sheet.
