When in doubt always get an old dictionary and see what the meaning of the
word was.

Capitlist:
A man who has a large capital or stock in trade; a man of large
property, which is or may be employed in business.

If you want to something throw away that new dictionary and get an old one 40
to 50 years or older they are far better for looking up what a word used in
the early days of our country.
