I am looking for information concerning the Lafayette grammar school that
was in Oakland. I have a class photo from 1912 that has one of my
grandmothers in it and I would like to know where the school was located
and if it is still there. This particular grandmothers family lost
everything in the great S. F. Fire and Earthquake of '06 and they relocated
in Oakland. The photographer was Hugo Weitz, 3011 Capp St., Fruitvale,
Greater Oakland, CA. Does anyone know if his old studio is still there?
